DSQUARED Reptiles E-commerce Website

Overview

DSQUARED Reptiles is a specialist breeder of captive-bred Ambilobe and Ambanja Panther Chameleons. They needed a complete online store — somewhere to showcase their animals, sell them, and give buyers the guidance and confidence to purchase a living, specialist product.

I designed and developed the entire website from scratch using Lovable, with Shopify integrated to handle products and purchasing — delivering the complete front end and the e-commerce integration end to end.

Challenge

Selling living animals online is a different challenge from selling ordinary products. The site had to present each chameleon beautifully, manage products and purchasing reliably, and answer every practical question a buyer has — care, shipping, and support — before they commit.

It also had to be genuinely image-focused to do the reptiles justice, stay fully responsive, and pair a custom-built front end with a dependable Shopify commerce backend.

Approach

I built the store from the ground up, then integrated Shopify so purchasing and product management were solid.

1. Build from scratch in Lovable

   Designed and developed the complete website and front end around the brand and its animals.

2. Integrate Shopify

   Connected Shopify for product management and purchasing, and implemented the full store integration.

3. Create product & collection pages

   Built product and collection pages for the captive-bred Panther Chameleons.

4. Support the buyer

   Added care guides, shipping information, FAQs, and breeder content so buyers have everything they need.
